The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary school, a TK-8 school located in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, places high emphasis on a strong dedication in celebrating, encouraging and enhancing the unique gifts of our students. ABVM School is seeking a long term substitute teacher to join our committed and qualified staffulty. The candidate is an energetic teacher who can effectively engage students. The ideal candidate is capable of planning and implementing engaging standards-based lesson plans.
This individual will communicate and collaborate with administrators, colleagues, and all stakeholders. The candidate will engage in ongoing professional development and uphold the values and teachings of the Catholic faith.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
2. Prior experience in an intermediate classroom setting (2nd-8th)
3. Commitment to Catholic education
4. Effective classroom management
5. Proficient in technology
6. VIRTUS Trained & Fingerprinted by ADLA
7. CA credential (preferred)

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
