Description
We are seeking a dynamic music teacher to help elevate our current music program. We are one of the only local schools that require music education for all levels from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
While the position is primarily four days a week, additional hours may be worked as needed for seasonal events and liturgies.
The Music Teacher will play an important role in enriching our students’ educational experience by fostering a love of music, supporting school-wide events, and contributing to the liturgical life of our Catholic school community.
Requirements
- Understanding of Foundational Music Theory and Pedagogy
- Instrumental Knowledge
- Strong Classroom Management
- Willingness to engage with the broader fine arts community
- Plan and prepare liturgical music for school masses
- Be a practicing Catholic (preferred)
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
