Description
St. Maria Goretti Catholic School is seeking a part-time Music Teacher to serve students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade for the 2026–2027 school year.
This position is scheduled during the school day as part of our elective rotation program across all grade levels. The schedule is to be determined based on school needs.
The Music Teacher will play an important role in enriching our students’ educational experience by fostering a love of music, supporting school-wide events, and contributing to the liturgical life of our Catholic school community.
Requirements
Qualified candidates should be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of music fundamentals, including reading music
- Have experience playing an instrument
- Lead group music instruction (not individual lessons) across multiple grade levels
- Collaborate with faculty to support school-wide events (Masses, concerts, performances, etc.)
- Effectively manage a classroom and lead students as a classroom teacher
- Develop and provide a curriculum map aligned with grade-level learning targets and growth assessments
- Assist with liturgical planning and preparation
- Support and provide music for weekly school Mass
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
