Description
Saint Joseph School is located in the heart of Hawthorne and has served our community for over 90 years. We are seeking a dynamic part time music teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate would work in collaboration with faculty to present fun and engaging music lessons to students in grades TK-8. You must model Catholic teachings and values and uphold school policies. Strong classroom management skills are a must. In addition, the music teacher will serve as a choir director for school liturgies.
Skills and responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the principal and faculty
- Direct the school choir for school liturgies
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Music
- Virtus Certified
- ADLA Fingerprinted
- CPR Certified

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
