Description
St. Andrew School is seeking a long-term substitute teacher for Middle School English Language Arts and Religion, beginning mid- to late May through the end of the school year.
We are looking for a kind, enthusiastic educator who enjoys working with middle school students and is committed to supporting both their academic and spiritual growth.
Candidates must be practicing Catholics who are comfortable teaching Religion and integrating faith into the classroom.
Responsibilities include lesson planning, assessing student work, and entering final grades. Curriculum resources include Sadlier materials for ELA and Sophia Institute texts for Religion, and scheduled prep periods are provided.
We welcome educators who are collaborative, organized, and passionate about working with young adolescents in a faith-centered environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS)
- Practicing Catholic
- Virtus trained and fingerprinted
- Enthusiastic, organized, and able to plan effectively
- Flexible and collaborative with faculty and staff

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
