Description
St. Hilary School, seeks an experienced, dedicated, and dynamic middle school teacher to join our innovative teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching ELA to grades 6-8 while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, and working collaboratively with administration, fellow teachers, parents, and students.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school’s curriculum program.
- The candidate is responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and analyzing data to monitor student progress and meet the needs of all learners.
- Establishing and maintaining open communication with parents, students, and fellow staff members is essential.
- Maintaining a positive and disciplined classroom environment conducive to student learning.
- The candidate should exhibit enthusiasm and a faith-filled spirit that inspires and motivates students, while modeling and supporting the values and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- *Effective classroom management skills
- Prior teaching experience
- Committed to Catholic faith and Education, respecting Catholic values and aids students in Christian formation by exemplifying Catholic living, both in an out of the classroom.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Middle school teaching experience
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
