Description

Our wonderful Catholic elementary school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School Teacher to join our team of faith-filled educators. We are looking for a teacher who is committed to academic excellence, passionate about student learning, and eager to contribute to a supportive and collaborative school community.

The ideal candidate will create a rigorous and engaging learning environment that promotes academic achievement, critical thinking, personal responsibility, and spiritual growth. Candidates should be comfortable working with adolescents, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and implementing engaging, standards-based lessons that prepare students for success in high school.

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Supports the mission and values of Catholic education.
  • Actively engages in the life and community of our parish school.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow the school work schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including attendance at faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
  • Create a positive, respectful, and engaging learning environment that reflects Catholic values and supports the school’s mission.
  • Foster students’ spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth through meaningful instruction and positive relationships.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons that promote critical thinking and student achievement.
  • Maintain high expectations for student behavior and academic performance.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, and families to support student success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience teaching middle school students required, preferably in a Catholic or faith-based school environment.
  • Valid teaching credential (Single Subject or Multiple Subject) and/or a Master’s Degree in Education or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • VIRTUS trained and fingerprinted (or willing to complete requirements upon hire).
  • Committed to Catholic education and the mission of the school.
  • Proficient with educational technology and digital learning platforms.
  • Effective classroom management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and ability to effectively implement Common Core State Standards through engaging, standards-based instruction.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
