Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Middle School Religion and Social Studies Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Catholic education, an understanding of middle school learners, and the ability to create engaging, immersive lessons that inspire students to explore their faith and understand the complexities of social structures and history.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Religion and Social Studies for grades 6th-8th.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the curriculum and daily classroom activities.
- Assess and evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide initiatives and events.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and faith formation opportunities.
- Proficiency with integrating technology into daily lessons.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Religious Studies, Social Studies, or a related field.
- A valid teaching credential or the ability to obtain one.
- Strong knowledge of Catholic teachings and a commitment to integrating faith into the classroom.
- Previous teaching experience, particularly in middle school, is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
