Seeking an experienced Middle School Mathematics Teacher. St. Mark uses the Pearson Common Core Curriculum and EngageNY as well as significant online resources and applications.
Middle School teachers plan and collaborate regularly. Each day, class begins with a morning meeting, as all instructors have Responsive Classroom training. St. Mark is a growth-oriented school with a dynamic, fun, and highly professional staff. Extensive professional development is a mainstay at St. Mark. Essential Duties:
- Prepare daily lesson plans aligned with standards and focused on supporting students in meeting their educational goals with measurable objectives, procedures, and assessments.
- Collaborate with the Middle School Team.
- Integrate the use of technology into curriculum using resources made available by the school.
- Maintain a safe, joyful, and engaging classroom community through the Responsive Classroom approach.
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.
- Participate in and contribute to the life of St. Mark School outside the classroom.
- Attend faculty and department meetings and perform supervision and additional duties as needed.

Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Teaching Credential or enrollment in a credential program
- Be knowledgeable of various online resources/programs to utilize for in-person teaching
- Be able to prepare and implement lesson plans, instruct students using an effective classroom management style, monitor student progress, evaluate student performance, and maintain accurate student records;
- Perform other duties and administrative tasks per school protocol and/or administration’s request;
- Be an active Catholic in good standing with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Additional requirements: Virtus Certified; Live Scan through ADLA; TB Neg. Test Result; CPR Certification and Catechetical Certification (preferred)

Practicing Catholic
Master’s Degree or enrollment in a Master’s program

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
