Description
Santa Teresita School, a TK-8th grade co-ed school located in Boyle Heights, is seeking an innovative and faith filled 5th-8th grade Social Studies and Religion teacher. The ideal candidate should have a passion for developing students’ critical thinking and communication skills, good classroom management, be organized and flexible, and have effective communication skills. The candidate must be a team player who is willing to collaborate with parents, students, and other staff to ensure students are engaged, learning and excelling.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university.
• Ability to effectively communicate with parents/guardians on a regular basis.
• Technologically proficient (experience with iPads, Chromebook’s, Zoom, Google Classroom, ClassDojo, etc.) preferred.
• Previous teaching or substitute experience preferred, with demonstrated experience creating lesson plans
• Practicing Catholic in good standing in the Church

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
