Notre Dame Academy is seeking a highly qualified full-time middle school Humanities teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success teaching humanities courses in English and history at the middle school level. Notre Dame Academy recently launched a highly successful all girls middle school program that has created a pathway for young girls seeking an innovative, specialized, and intellectually interesting academic program specifically designed for girls of the 21st century. As a result, NDA is seeking an innovative, experienced, and passionate middle school integrated humanities teacher who can bring history to life while integrating writing, literature, communications and English skills in an authentic context.

Along with creating engaging lessons and experiences beyond the classroom that enhance learning, this instructor will help design the overall integrated humanities program to vertically align with the high school experience.

NDA seeks a creative teacher who can work collaboratively and independently within the Humanities department and middle school team. We seek faculty members who are intellectually curious, willing to grow professionally, student focused, dedicated to lifelong learning, and who are able to effectively collaborate with faculty, students, and parents to enhance our learning community.

Requirements

– Successful record of teaching experience in the humanities
– Bachelor’s degree in English or History or related field, Master’s desired
– Understanding of and comfort in a Catholic education setting
– Commitment to an inclusive and equitable working and learning environment
– California teaching credential preferred

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
