We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our faculty for the current school year. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic educator who can make math engaging, accessible, and relevant for all learners, while also integrating Catholic values into classroom life.
The Middle School Math Teacher will be responsible for teaching math courses (grades 5–8) and collaborating with colleagues to support student success across the curriculum.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality math instruction using the illustrative math curriculum (imagine learning).
- Create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic growth and positive behavior.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Integrate faith-based principles and moral development into teaching and classroom culture.
- Assess student learning through formative and summative evaluations and communicate progress with students and families.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to support the mission of HSSA.
- Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and faith-based activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Mathematics preferred).
- Valid California Teaching Credential or progress toward certification.
- Prior teaching experience preferred (especially in middle school).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Holy Spirit School.
- A growth mindset and enthusiasm for working in a collaborative school community.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience using technology and data to support student learning.
- Familiarity with standards-based grading and differentiated instruction.
- Ability to foster creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking in students.
- Bilingual

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
