- AMS is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative long-term substitute teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning in mid-August through approximately mid-December.
- The ideal candidate is a flexible, self-directed educator who can step confidently into an established first grade classroom community, maintain continuity of instruction, and build meaningful relationships with students and families during their time at AMS.
- Familiarity with Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop and Everyday Mathematics is a plus.

- Practicing Roman Catholic
- Multiple subject credential
- Teaching experience in an elementary setting
- Knowledge of current trends in elementary education
- Experience supporting lessons through technology
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
