Description
St. Dominic Savio School, a Salesian institution, is seeking an experienced, innovative, and enthusiastic Kindergarten teacher. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate educator who brings learning to life and nurtures the spiritual, academic, and social development of our youngest scholars.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with both Common Core State and Archdiocesan Standards. This educator will effectively integrate technology to enhance student learning and foster a joyful, faith-filled classroom environment. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, as this role works closely with parents, faculty, staff, and administration to support the growth and well-being of each child. A positive mindset, high energy, and a commitment to serving as a strong Catholic role model are key qualities for success in this position.
Requirements
This position requires an educator with strong differentiation skills, the ability to set and maintain high expectations for all learners, and excellent classroom management. Qualified candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Elementary Education from an accredited college or university
- A valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and/or a Master’s Degree (or actively working toward a California Credential)
- Demonstrated proficiency in integrating technology effectively within the classroom
- Experience creating developmentally appropriate, standards-based lesson plans, with knowledge of Standards-Based Grading practices
- A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience
- A practicing Catholic with a strong understanding of the teachings of the Catholic Church

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
