American Martyrs School seeks a passionate and nurturing Kindergarten teacher to join our growing early childhood program. Our Kindergarten classroom provides young learners with a strong academic and social-emotional development foundation. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, faith-based learning environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and joy in learning while preparing students for future academic success.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching credential
- Experience teaching early childhood education (ideal)
- Understanding of Catholic education values and mission
- Strong classroom management abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills
- Create hands-on learning experiences aligned with Catholic values
- Maintain ongoing assessment and documentation of student progress
- Collaborate with kindergarten teachers to ensure smooth transitions
- Communicate regularly with parents about student development
- Participate in faith formation activities and religious celebrations
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of early childhood development milestones
- Experience with play-based learning approaches
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction
- Proficiency in technology integration
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
