Description
We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Science Teacher to join our faculty. This educator will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based science instruction while fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for discovery. The ideal candidate will integrate hands-on learning experiences, support cross-grade collaboration, and contribute to a faith-filled academic environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver rigorous, engaging science lessons aligned with curriculum standards
- Utilize inquiry-based and hands-on instructional strategies to promote student understanding
- Design and implement laboratory experiences that reinforce key scientific concepts
- Collaborate with K–3 homeroom teachers to provide supplementary science lab experiences that enhance early science exposure
- Support vertical alignment of science instruction across grade levels
- Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instruction
Additional Responsibilities:
- Attend and actively support science-related field trips, including preparation and follow-up activities
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom and lab environment
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
- Integrate faith and values into science instruction in alignment with the school’s mission
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related STEM field (Master’s preferred). A CA teaching credential or someone working on their credential currently is also required.
- Demonstrated background and/or professional experience in STEM-related fields
- Prior teaching experience preferred, especially in elementary or middle school settings
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across grade levels
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and faith-centered learning environment

- Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Passion for developing scientific literacy and curiosity in students
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
