Description
St. Robert Bellarmine Elementary School is seeking a temporary Instructional Aide to support classroom teachers and enhance student learning. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working with children and contributing to a positive educational environment.
Requirements
RESPONSABILITIES:
- Provide instructional support in multiple classrooms across grade levels, assisting with small group work, one-on-one support, and classroom activities.
- Assist teachers with preparing instructional materials, organizing resources, grading, and managing classroom routines.
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times to ensure a safe and positive environment.
- Serve as an in-house substitute teacher as needed, delivering prepared lesson plans and maintaining classroom order.
- Support front office operations by answering phones, greeting visitors, assisting families, and performing clerical tasks.
- Assist with student arrival and dismissal procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Promote and model positive behavior, respect, and responsibility in alignment with the school’s mission and values.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth functioning of the school, including additional responsibilities assigned at the discretion of the principal.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma
- College credits in Child Development (preferred)
- VIRTUS training and Fingerprinting through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles
- Other qualifications as the Archdiocese of Los Angeles may find appropriate.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
