We are seeking a caring and energetic Instructional Aide to support our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten classrooms. The ideal candidate is patient, nurturing, and enjoys working with young children in a faith-based educational setting. The Instructional Aide will work closely with the classroom teacher to help create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who feels called to serve in Catholic education and support the early foundations of learning.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lessons, activities, and routines.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to support students’ learning and development.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Supervise students during transitions, recess, and lunch periods.
- Support the teacher in preparing classroom materials and instructional resources.
- Encourage positive behavior and social-emotional growth among students.
- Model Christian values and contribute to the spiritual life of the classroom.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and families.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or early childhood coursework preferred.
- Prior experience working with young children in a school or childcare setting preferred.
- A love for working with children and helping them learn and grow.
- Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from the lead teacher.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Must successfully pass fingerprinting and background check as required by the Archdiocese.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of child development and early learning practices.
- Positive and patient attitude, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
