Paraclete High School – Catholic College Preparatory in Lancaster, California, is accepting applications for full-time teachers in all subject areas with a current focus on math and science teachers, for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Paraclete High School seeks dynamic educators who are committed to academic excellence, faith formation, and the development of people as leaders rooted in the traditions and values of the Catholic Church. Candidates should be collaborative team players who are passionate about teaching and dedicated to their field of discipline.
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational and classroom management skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively and consistently with all stakeholders, including students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Teachers are expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of their content area and to engage students using a variety of instructional strategies that support diverse learners.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing rigorous, standards-based curriculum across college preparatory and advanced courses (including Honors and AP, where applicable)
- Utilizing technology and innovative teaching practices to develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills
- Maintaining accurate and timely records, including weekly gradebook updates
- Supporting the academic, social, and spiritual growth of students, educating the whole child—mind, body, and spirit
- Collaborating with colleagues to align curriculum, integrate cross-disciplinary learning, and support departmental and school-wide goals
- Actively participating in the faith life and mission of the school community
- The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in lesson planning, assessment, and differentiation to meet the needs of all learners, while fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. A commitment to the mission of Catholic education is essential.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates must embrace and actively support the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church and Paraclete High School.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with a preference for prior experience as a middle or high school teacher.
- Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in instructional technology and familiarity with online learning and grading platforms such as Google Classroom.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in subject area or related field
- Valid California Teaching Credential (Single Subject or equivalent)
- Experience teaching including Honors and/or Advanced Placement (AP) courses
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
