Description
St. Joseph High School seeks a full-time science instructor for the 2025-2026 school year. The position is for a Biology instructor full-time at a college preparatory high school on the beautiful and affordable Central Coast of California an hour north of Santa Barbara.
St. Joe’s is an archdiocesan secondary school with an enrollment of 500 students. We aim to offer a rigorous, college preparatory curriculum in a manner consistent with the Josephite emphasis on helping each student image Christ in mind, heart, body, and soul and building a community of “family spirit” on campus. Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree (in STEM field or education preferred)
*Ability to design and deliver lessons that challenge and engage students
*Commitment to learning and implementing the Josephite charism and approach to education
*Experience working with young people in a supervisory, coaching, and/or mentoring role
*Willingness to pursue a teaching credential and/or master’s degree
*Desire to collaborate with others to support student learning

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
