Description
Immaculate Heart High School, a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for girls located in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, California, seeks a part-time, experienced Mock Trial Coach for the 2025 – 2026 school year. Applicants should be familiar with, and supportive of, the educational and spiritual philosophy and mission of a Catholic high school and well versed in Mock Trial competition.
The ideal candidate will be:
- interested in developing a competitive Mock Trial team.
- able to instruct and aid students in understanding a hypothetical case, preparing trial strategy, and assigning roles for the trial proceedings.
- developing students’ critical thinking, speaking, and reading skills
- handling necessary paperwork for competition and registration
- able to coordinate and manage transportation to the courthouse for competition
- helping students to better understand the judicial system and a variety of current legal issues.
Requirements
- Minimum – Bachelor’s degree in any related field or in progress
- available afternoons starting in mid-August (3:00 pm-5:00 pm) and on weekends to facilitate practices and assist in preparation for competition in November

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
