Full Time Music Teacher Position at Saint John Eudes School
St. John Eudes School in Chatsworth, CA has an opening for a dedicated Full Time Music Teacher for Spring 2026. This role, under the guidance of the principal, involves planning, delivering, and assessing music instruction for students in grades TK-8, aligned with both the California Common Core standards and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles standards.

Position Details:
General Responsibilities:
- Manage and engage a classroom effectively.
- Foster a supportive Catholic environment conducive to student learning, including differentiation and classroom management.
- Collaborate with colleagues, grade-level teachers, and staff.
- Direct the school choir for weekly and monthly Masses.
- Organize the Christmas Program, Spring Concert, Choir performances, and other fine arts displays.
- Develop and deliver a curriculum that adheres to Common Core and Archdiocesan standards.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents and families.
- Regularly update staff and administration on plans and progress.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Current CA teaching credential and/or Bachelor’s Degree is desired but not required.
- Clearances: Criminal justice fingerprint clearance and VIRTUS certification (provided).
- Experience: Previous instructional experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Understanding of school operations and the ability to implement an engaging curriculum.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
- Prior experience in a junior high classroom setting (6th-8th Grades)
- Commitment to Catholic education
- Effective classroom management
- Proficient in technology
- VIRTUS Trained & Fingerprinted by ADLA
- CA Credential (preferred)

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
