Notre Dame Academy High School in West Los Angeles is seeking a full-time or part-time French teacher for the 2021-22 school year. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success teaching AP French Language and Culture.

Notre Dame Academy seeks an innovative, collaborative and experienced French teacher who can fulfill the 21st century learning environment goals of NDA. Our world languages courses focus on developing students’ passion for listening, speaking, reading, and writing in their target language and their appreciation of the richness of cultures different than their own. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or master’s degree in French and high school teaching experience, particularly in AP French. This individual must be innovative, dynamic, energetic, organized, flexible, and hard working, and he or she must embody a growth mindset. We seek faculty members who are intellectually curious, willing to grow professionally, student focused, dedicated to lifelong learning, and able to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, and parents to enhance our learning community. Additional desired characteristics include familiarity with the ACTFL proficiency guidelines, comfort teaching the three modes of communication (interpersonal, interpretive and presentational), and experience guiding student trips abroad.
