St. Bernard Catholic School is seeking a strong, team-oriented Fourth Grade teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This position focuses on deepening student learning in reading analysis, structured writing, and math reasoning, preparing students for upper-level academic expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field (required)
- Valid teaching credential (preferred)
- Experience in upper elementary instruction preferred
Strong background in:
- Reading analysis and comprehension
- Writing (multi-paragraph structure, organization, revision)
- Math (fractions, multi-step problem solving, conceptual understanding)
Ability to:
- Collaborate with 2nd and 3rd grade teachers
- Align curriculum and instructional practices across grade levels
- Support struggling learners through targeted strategies
- Strong classroom leadership and communication skills
- Practicing Catholic or willing to support the Catholic mission of the school
- Commitment to a collaborative, team-based teaching environment

- Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing
- Demonstrates knowledge of Catholic teachings, traditions, and values
- Models the faith through daily witness and participation in the sacramental life of the Church

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
