Description
We seek a passionate early primary teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of early primary education and the ability to effectively communicate concepts to students in a way that is engaging and accessible. The candidate will instruct students in various subjects according to school curriculum and standards, foster spiritual growth of students, and create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Curriculum and Instruction
– Plan and and deliver lessons that align with school curricula and instructional goals
– Use various teaching methods and resources to meet diverse learning styles
2. Classroom Management
– Maintain a well-organized and stimulating learning environment
– Establish classroom rules and expectations consistent with Catholic principles of respect, compassion, and responsibility
– Foster a sense of community and cooperation
3. Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring
– Assess student learning, using formative and summative assessments
– Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents
4. Communication and Collaboration
– Effectively communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress (behavior, and academic)
– Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to promote positive school culture
– Engage in ongoing professional development
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
2. Valid teaching certification/license (completed or in progress)
3. Effective communicator; good organizational and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive school culture
5. Proficient in use of technology

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
