Description

Our Lady of Guadalupe School is seeking a faith-filled, dedicated, and enthusiastic Catholic educator to teach a First and Second Grade Multiage Classroom. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, Catholic values, and fostering a nurturing learning environment where students grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.

The successful candidate will possess strong classroom management skills, embrace 21st-century teaching practices, and create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that meet the diverse needs of young learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate lessons in all core subject areas, including Religion, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings and Gospel values throughout daily instruction and classroom activities.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Utilize technology and innovative instructional strategies that promote 21st-century learning skills.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the academic and developmental needs of all students.
  • Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic and behavioral growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to support student success.
  • Participate actively in school events, faith formation activities, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Practicing Catholic committed to the mission and values of Catholic education.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for primary-grade learners.
  • Experience integrating technology and implementing 21st-century teaching and learning strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and willing to contribute positively to the school community.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, faculty, and administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • California Teaching Credential or progress toward credential completion.
  • Previous classroom teaching experience.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
