Description
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and faith-filled educator to join our faculty. The Classroom Teacher supports the mission of Catholic education by fostering the intellectual, spiritual, moral, and social development of each student while modeling Christian values both inside and outside the classroom.
Under the direction of the Principal, the teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing rigorous, standards-based instruction that promotes academic excellence and nurtures the God-given gifts of every child. The teacher works collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and administration to create a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered learning environment that encourages lifelong learning and discipleship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Valid California Teaching Credential preferred.
- Previous classroom teaching or instructional experience.
- Experience in a Catholic school setting is desirable but not required.
- Live Scan fingerprint clearance through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
- VIRTUS (Safe Environment) certification.
Knowledge, Skills:
- Commitment to the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.
- Practicing Catholic preferred, with an understanding of and respect for the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace for Education, Google Classroom, Microsoft Office, and educational technology platforms.
- Ability to integrate technology effectively into daily instruction.
- Maintains confidentiality and adheres to the highest standards of professional ethics.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
