Description
Our Lady of the Assumption School is looking to hire an experienced teacher to join our elementary school team. Candidates must be collaborative and willing to work with colleagues from TK-8 to ensure a continuum of learning. OLA has two classes per grade, so candidates are expected to work especially closely with a partner teacher. Candidates must support and give witness to the teaching of Catholic faith through responsive and compassionate instruction, paying close attention to the implementation of our Religion standards, and our students’ social emotional learning. Candidates may indicate other strengths and experiences which explains how they are able to contribute to our vibrant and highly successful academic program. Candidates must be willing to support and enhance our mission to grow a diverse, child centered Catholic community developing leaders rooted in faith, knowledge and service.
Requirements
- Catholic (preferred)
- Catechetical Certification (or in process)
- VIRTUS Certification and Fingerprinting through ADLA
- BA/BS degree (minimum)
- Minimum two years’ experience working with elementary school age children
- MA/MS/Teaching Credential (preferred)
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
