Our Lady of Refuge Parish was established in 1948, with the Parish School welcoming its first students in 1953, under the leadership of the Sisters of Saint Louis. For more than 70 years our school and parish has served the community of East Long Beach with pride and distinction. Today we are a TK-8 school whose mission is to strive to create an intentional and faith-filled environment conducive to the maximum development of the students’ spiritual, intellectual, moral, aesthetic and physical potential. Faculty and Administrative staff invite partnership with families to foster within our students the capacity to become confident, committed, self-disciplined, life-long developing Christians whose responsible participation in society will reflect their reverence for all life.

Requirements
- A Practicing Catholic
- A minimum 5 years of teaching experience OR 3 years working at a non-profit organization in a leadership role
- Preference for Earned Master’s Degree OR State Approved Teaching Credential
- Preference for California Catechist Certification (Or willingness to achieve within the first two years of leadership
- This leadership role requires a collaborative skill-set and is an on-site and in-person position
SALARY/BENEFITS
$69,788-$101,865; Compensation commensurate with level of experience, relevant professional certifications, and/or degrees earned. ”The Archdiocese of Los Angeles offers health benefits including medical, dental, and vision and all employees are enrolled in pension benefits from the time of employment and considered vested after five years of full-time employment.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
