Director of Development
Bosco Tech is seeking a highly motivated Director of Development who will be working closely with the school’s President and Board of Trustees to advance their philanthropic goals and initiatives.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and execute a strategic, multi-year fundraising plan aligned with the goals of the institution. Oversee annual fund campaigns, endowment growth, capital campaigns, and donor engagement strategies.
- Establish and grow a robust planned giving program, including donor education, targeted outreach, stewardship, and solicitation.
- Coordinate management of all development related events, including but not limited to the following: Leadership Donor Dinner, Bosco Tech Golf Classic, Alumni Regional Receptions, Techmen Reunion Weekend, St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, and Graduation Reception.
- Oversee institutional marketing and communications (internal and external) to ensure consistent messaging to enhance visibility, brand integrity, and philanthropic support.
- Support admissions through strategic storytelling and community engagement.
- Manage departmental budget and reporting, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
- Lead and develop the advancement team, creating a collaborative and accountable culture. Supervise Director of Foundation Relations, Director of Alumni Engagement, Director of Marketing and Communications, and Development Associate. Collaborate often with Admissions & Tuition Assistance Office, Academics, Technology, Facilities, and Youth Ministry.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of progressive development leadership experience, preferably in an independent school or other nonprofit/education setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in major gift cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Strong understanding of planned giving vehicles and donor relations best practices.
- Proven strategic planning and project management skills.
- Mission alignment with the Catholic Salesian tradition and the values of Don Bosco Technical Institute.
- All other tasks as assigned.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
