About St. Anthony High School
Founded in 1920, St. Anthony High School is a four-year, coeducational, college-preparatory high school serving students in the greater Long Beach area. We provide an affordable Catholic co-educational, college preparatory education to students from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. We are committed to academic excellence and the spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual development of each student within a safe, caring, faith-based community. Students are prepared to become morally aware, academically capable leaders who are outstanding contributors in a complex technological and global society.
Your Opportunity:
As part of the executive team, you will:
- Cultivate Annual and Major Giving programs, engaging alumni, parents, and future legacy donors
- Plan, organize, and manage events that enhance community engagement and fundraising, including alumni events, networking receptions, parent engagement fundraisers, galas, Annual 5K, and golf tournament
- Lead capital campaigns to support our strategic vision
- Oversee giving campaigns: Annual Giving, Scholarship Fund, Spring Gala, etc.
- Partner on marketing and communication efforts
Your Impact:
Reporting to the President, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership for all fundraising, setting ambitious goals to create a culture of philanthropy and long-term sustainability
- Build and manage a comprehensive advancement program (major gifts, planned giving, etc.)
- Develop a long-term plan for philanthropic growth and identify new funding sources
- Increase major gifts and engage key stakeholders (Board, faculty, etc.)
- Cultivate and steward a portfolio of major gift prospects
- Oversee external reporting and fundraising communications
- Grow the fundraising database and implement prospect management
- Develop and lead endowment and capital campaigns
- Manage the advancement team and budget
- Drive organizational success through strategic planning
- Establish and maintain a strong presence within the local community, fostering connections that benefit the school’s reputation and reach
- Build strong relationships across departments and serve as a passionate advocate for St. Anthony High School
- Performs any other duties assigned by the President
Requirements
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including grant writing and proposal development (writing samples required upon request)
- Expertise in fundraising best practices, donor cultivation, and stewardship
- Strong collaborative leadership and a thoughtful partner who can understand the needs of the school, translate those needs into gifts in support of the school, and develop a cooperative spirit throughout the organization
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to expand and maintain long-term and supportive relationships with all internal and external parties
- Excellent customer service, follow-through, project management, and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle pressure while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail while ensuring a high level of accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, work nights and weekends as needed.
- Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace
- Minimum 5 – 7 years of sales, marketing, and public relations with progressive experience in non-profit fundraising, with demonstrated success in major gift solicitation, preferably in a school
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 based on prior work experience

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
