Villanova Prep is a private, co-ed Catholic college preparatory school serving students in grades 6-12 that is located on 130 acres in beautiful Ojai, California. We seek a dedicated and experienced marketing professional to join our team. This role focuses on providing comprehensive marketing and communications solutions to elevate the School.
Owned and operated by the Augustinian Friars, Villanova Prep is accredited by the Western Catholic Education Association and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Full-Time, Year-Round, Dual-Reporting in Admissions and Development Departments
General Expectations:
The Coordinator of Marketing and Communications will work closely with the President, Principal, Admissions Office, and Development Office in designing and overseeing a marketing strategy that will achieve the enrollment and fundraising goals as well as increase the brand awareness of Villanova Preparatory School.
The coordinator will ensure that the School’s marketing materials, publications, website content, press releases, events, and other communications properly support and reflect the strategic mission and goals of Villanova Prep.
The Coordinator of Marketing and Communications will work collaboratively with the Director of Admission and Director of Development and will balance the priorities of two supervisors.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Director of Admission and the Director of Development to create and implement promotional campaigns that are designed to increase brand awareness, donor engagement, enrollment, and interest in the School.
2. Ensure that all marketing, communication, and materials reflect the Catholic and Augustinian mission of Villanova.
3. Maintain and regularly update the School’s website and social media platforms.
4. Maintain and regularly update the School’s online calendar and email communications to parents, students, and stakeholders.
5. Collaborate with the Admissions Team to ensure that all admissions-related materials and events focused on prospective parents, students, and stakeholders are consistent with and in line with the School’s mission and tradition.
6. Collaborate with the Development Team to ensure that all development-related materials and events focused on current and past parents, students, and stakeholders are consistent with and in line with the School’s mission and tradition.
7. Attend required staff meetings and recommended professional development opportunities.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills Desired:
- A college degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Previous experience in marketing and communications.
- Ability to communicate effectively and articulately to all stakeholders, written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Google Docs, graphic design programs, image and video editing software, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), SEO/SEM, and website management.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Self-starter who is able to perform with minimal supervision and a proactive approach.
- Displays a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to be professional, creative, and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Flexibility to be available on evenings and weekends for Villanova events (minimal).
- Pass a Live Scan Background check and complete VIRTUS training.
Compensation Package:
The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $80,000 per year. The starting salary is based upon, but not limited to, several factors that include type and years of experience, education level, and expertise.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
