Description
St Mark School (Venice) is seeking an enthusiastic, responsible individual to join our team as a Clerical and After-School Care Assistant for our “Homework Club” program. The ideal candidate will support operations in the school office and work collaboratively with our existing staff to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade who stay after school.
The ideal candidate will need to work collaboratively with faculty and administration, be able to have clear communication with administration, parents, and students and take on a variety of tasks to support the Principal, Vice Principal and essential school operation. The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive mindset who would check students in and out of HWC, monitor behavior and assist in student activities while the students are in ‘HWC’.
The position’s hours are Monday through Friday from 12:30-5:30pm. College students looking for experience in early child, elementary or middle school education are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement).
Faith Alignment: A practicing Catholic is preferred; must be able to serve as a positive Catholic role model for our students.
Skills: Strong communication skills, energetic, a positive attitude, and demonstrated flexibility in handling a dynamic school environment.
Compliance: Must meet all Archdiocese safeguarding and background clearance requirements prior to hiring.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
