About Us:
La Salle College Preparatory is a co-educational Catholic high school serving approximately 700 students. We are proud members of the Camino Del Rey Association and are committed to fostering excellence in academics, athletics, and character development.
Position Overview:
La Salle College Preparatory is seeking a dedicated and experienced Boys Soccer Head Coach to lead and develop both the Varsity and Junior Varsity programs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a commitment to student-athlete development, and the ability to build a competitive and values-driven program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, supervise, and develop a high-quality coaching staff for both Varsity and JV teams
- Schedule non-league matches for JV and Varsity programs with CIF-SS member schools
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all levels
- Teach fundamental soccer skills, strategies, and techniques
- Plan and conduct effective practices, drills, and scrimmages
- Organize and lead team training sessions focused on individual and team improvement
- Provide constructive feedback to support player development
- Develop game strategies and manage in-game decision-making
- Monitor player progress and adjust training as needed
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline
- Ensure a safe, structured, and positive environment for all student-athletes
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a soccer coach and/or player preferred
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules, tactics, and skill development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership ability with a focus on mentorship and motivation
- Ability to manage and respond to challenging situations with patience and professionalism
- CPR/First Aid certification (required)
- Virtus Certification (required or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications:
- College, High school or club coaching experience
- Experience working within CIF-SS programs

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
