Description
Notre Dame Academy seeks a dynamic and mission-driven Associate Director of Philanthropy to strengthen a culture of philanthropy across our school community. This role is responsible for leading annual fund efforts that engage parents, alumnae, faculty, staff, and friends in support of the school’s mission to educate and prepare students to “make a difference.”
Working closely with the Director of Philanthropy and Alumnae Engagement, the Associate Director will oversee strategy and execution of annual fundraising initiatives and signature community events that inspire participation and deepen connection to Notre Dame Academy.
Key Responsibilities
Annual Fund Management
- Partner with the director of philanthropy to execute a comprehensive Annual Fund strategy serving the NDA community
- Drive parent participation and giving through thoughtful engagement and outreach
- Manage leadership-level annual gifts ($1,000–$25,000) and cultivate donors within this portfolio
- Lead multi-channel campaigns, including direct mail, email, and personal solicitation
- Partner with faculty, administration, and volunteers to build a culture of giving across campus
- Lead strategy and execution of NDA’s annual Giving Day and other community-wide fundraising campaigns
- Build volunteer fundraising committees that strengthen community engagement and participation
- Process gifts, prepare acknowledgments, create online forms, and maintain accurate donor records
Events Fundraising
- Oversee fundraising strategy and event logistics for key school events, including the Making a Difference Gala and reunion
- Work with volunteers and leadership to secure sponsorships, auction items, and event gifts
- Ensure events serve as meaningful opportunities for cultivation, stewardship, and donor engagement
Requirements
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of fundraising, advancement, or nonprofit development experience
- Passion for Catholic education and the mission of Notre Dame Academy
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience managing volunteers and fundraising events
- Ability to solicit and steward gifts in the $1,000–$25,000 range
- Organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced school environment
- Experience and/or willingness to learn DonorPerfect – Notre Dame Academy’s CRM, Finalsite and GiveCampus
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
