Description
St. Robert Bellarmine School is seeking a warm, engaging, and reliable Afterschool Armenian Language & Culture Teacher to lead an enriching program for elementary-aged students. The ideal candidate brings strong Armenian language skills, a love for working with children, and a passion for sharing Armenian traditions, history, music, and cultural practices in age-appropriate ways.
Position Type
- Part-time / afterschool enrichment
- Days/Hours: Tuesday/Thursday 3:00pm-4:00pm
- Start Date: Mid-March
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging Armenian language lessons across TK-8 students
- Integrate Armenian culture through stories, songs, art, holidays, and traditions
- Create a welcoming, respectful, and well-managed learning environment
- Communicate clearly SRB employees and families as needed
- Align instruction with SRB’s mission and expectations for student safety and conduct
Requirements
Qualifications
- Fluency in Armenian; ability to support beginner learners
- Experience working with children in a school, enrichment, tutoring, or youth setting
- Strong classroom management and positive, student-centered approach
- Dependable, organized, and able to plan structured lessons
- VIRTUS Training
- Fingerprinting through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
