Description
We are seeking a passionate and faith-filled 7th & 8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher to join our middle school team. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of reading and writing, foster critical thinking, and prepare students for high school-level English through a rigorous and engaging curriculum.
Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language Arts to 7th and 8th grade students, focusing on literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary
- Develop and implement standards-based lesson plans that incorporate Catholic values and 21st-century learning skills
- Promote critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration through a variety of instructional strategies
- Prepare students for high school success, including essay writing and literary analysis
- Integrate technology into instruction and student learning
- Maintain open and regular communication with students, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to school community life through participation in faculty and school events
- Collaborate with the middle school team on cross-curricular projects and student support

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
- Master’s Degree and/or teaching credential (or currently enrolled in a credential program)
- Experience teaching in a Junior High or high school classroom preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
