Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and faith-filled educator to serve as the 6th Grade Homeroom Teacher and Science Instructor for grades 6–8. The candidate will also teach 1 section of upper level math (8th grade or Algebra 1.) This position plays a key role in our middle school team, fostering academic growth, character development, and spiritual formation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the 6th grade homeroom teacher, providing daily support and guidance to students
  • Teach 1 section of math (8th grade or Algebra 1) and 3 sections of Science curriculum (grades 6-8)
  • Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons that support diverse learners
  • Integrate Catholic values and teachings across classroom content and community interactions
  • Maintain open communication with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and rigorous academic program
  • Participate in school events, liturgies, professional development, and faculty meetings
  • Join our dedicated faculty and help inspire the next generation of faithful learners and leaders.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject area (Math/Science); Teaching Credential preferred
  • Experience teaching middle school students preferred
  • Practicing Catholic preferred; commitment to Catholic values required
  • Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Passion for working with adolescents and helping them grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
