Description
SHS, the oldest Catholic school in the Antelope Valley, is looking for a faith-filled, energetic, dedicated individual to join our team as a self-contained fifth grade teacher.
Requirements
The minimum requirements are:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- California State Teaching Credential (or progress in towards this credential) preferred
- Catechetical certification (or willingness to obtain through the Archdiocese)
- Previous experience in teaching upper elementary school preferred
- Commitment to the mission and philosophy of Catholic education
- Understanding of Child Development
- Possess strong communication, classroom management, organizational and instructional skills
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
