St. Dominic Savio School, a Salesian institution, seeks an experienced, innovative, and enthusiastic 5th grade teacher.
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate educator who brings their subject matter to life. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in crafting lessons aligned with both Common Core State and Archdiocesan Standards, and will skillfully integrate technology to enhance the learning experience. This role requires a collaborative individual who communicates effectively with parents, fellow teachers, staff, and administration to ensure the academic growth and well-being of our students. Requirements
This position demands an educator with exceptional skills in differentiation, the ability to clearly articulate and maintain high expectations for all learners, and impeccable classroom management.
The qualified candidate should possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Elementary Education from an accredited university/college.
- A valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and/or a Master’s Degree (or actively working towards a CA Credential).
- Demonstrated comfort and proficiency in integrating technology effectively within the classroom.
- Proven ability to create developmentally appropriate, standards-based lesson plans, with knowledge of Standards-Based Grading practices.
- A minimum of three to five years of successful teaching experience.
- A practicing Catholic with a strong understanding of the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
