Located in Chatsworth, St. John Eudes School is a vibrant Catholic learning community serving students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade. We are a welcoming and faith-filled community that values strong partnerships with families and seeks to promote the academic, spiritual, and social growth of every child. We are currently seeking a dynamic, flexible, and collaborative 4th Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.
The 4th Grade teacher will be responsible for teaching ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Religion, while supporting the mission and vision of St. John Eudes School in both instruction and community life.

Responsibilities
The 4th Grade Teacher will:
- Provide an instructional program responsive to the academic and developmental needs of each student, rooted in Catholic values
- Implement school-adopted curriculum while integrating faith across all subject areas
- Foster a classroom environment that reflects the Gospel values of respect, compassion, and service
- Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Differentiate instruction effectively to support diverse learners
- Assess student learning regularly to ensure progress toward grade-level standards
- Design engaging lesson and unit plans aligned with school expectations and educational best practices
- Communicate student progress clearly and consistently with families
- Utilize multi-modal instructional strategies to meet varied learning styles
- Support the administration in maintaining a respectful, safe, and faith-centered school environment
- Collaborate with grade-level teams to create a cohesive and holistic learning experience
- Recognize parents as essential partners in the educational mission and actively engage them in student learning
- Integrate appropriate technology to enhance instruction and learning outcomes
- Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and other duties as assigned by the principal
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred)
- Possess (or be working toward) a California Teaching Credential (preferred)
- Demonstrate familiarity with student-centered and innovative instructional practices
- Have experience with Google Classroom, G Suite, and other learning management systems (preferred)
- Show strength in lesson planning, curriculum development, and instructional design
- Exhibit a genuine love of learning and passion for engaging students
- Be skilled in differentiating instruction for diverse learners
- Work collaboratively and value professional growth through teamwork and shared expertise
- Embrace and actively support the mission and vision of Catholic education
- Have prior experience in Catholic schools (preferred but not required)
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
