Description
Visitation School is a very energetic and vibrant community located in Westchester and is seeking a dedicated, hard-working, and experienced full-time 1st grade teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Visitation lead teachers work in a collaborative environment and are also tasked with creativity, professionalism, differentiation and strong curricular practices.
Requirements
MA degree in education and/or teaching credential, have proven classroom management skills, be well versed in literacy instruction, curriculum and instructional pedagogy and have 3-5 years of prior lead teaching experience in the lower elementary grades. All applicants should be energetic, a practicing Catholic, a team player, comfortable with the integration of technology and instruction, and have desire to work in a true community school. In addition, staff members at this school are expected to be proactive communicators, comfortable with differentiation of instruction within the classroom, and overall, create a nurturing and academically rigorous classroom environment.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
