Parish & School Impact Grant Program

One-Time Funding Opportunity – Up to $25,000

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles is pleased to announce the 2026 Parish & School Impact Grant. One-time funding opportunity designed to support innovative projects that strengthen our parishes, schools, and ministries.

Through this program, eligible parishes and schools may apply for a grant of up to $25,000 to address critical needs, expand ministry impact, improve educational outcomes, enhance facilities, or launch new initiatives that advance the mission of the Church.

Funding Priorities

Projects may include, but are not limited to:

• Student support and educational enrichment
• Evangelization and faith formation initiatives
• Technology improvements
• Facilities and campus improvements
• Community outreach and social services
• Programs that strengthen parish vitality and engagement

Eligibility

• Archdiocesan parishes in good standing
• Archdiocesan elementary and secondary schools
• Collaborative parish-school initiatives are strongly encouraged

Application Questions

Provide a narrative that answers the following questions (max 3 pages).

1. Project Overview

Please provide a brief description of your proposed project, including the amount requested and how the funds will be used.

2. Statement of Need

What challenge, opportunity, or unmet need does this project address? Why is this project important for your parish, school, or community at this time?

3. Impact and Outcomes

Describe the anticipated impact of the project. Who will benefit, and how will success be measured?

4. Sustainability and Stewardship

How will the project be maintained after the grant period? Please explain how the investment will create lasting value for your parish, school, or ministry.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

• Alignment with the mission of the Archdiocese
• Demonstrated need
• Potential impact and reach
• Feasibility of implementation
• Long-term benefit and sustainability
• Overall strength and clarity of the proposal

Creating a Strong Proposal

Applicants are encouraged to submit compelling requests that clearly demonstrate:

• A significant need or opportunity
• A well-defined plan for implementation
• Measurable outcomes
• Broad impact on parishioners, students, families, or the wider community
• How the project advances the mission of evangelization, education, service, or community building

Specific examples, testimonials, data points, and photographs may be included to strengthen your application.
