Immigrant Support

Family Assistance Program

The vast majority of “illegal aliens” are good neighbors, hard-working men and women, people of faith; they are making important contributions to vital sectors of the American economy: agriculture, construction, hospitality, health care, and more. They are parents and grandparents, active in our communities, charities, and churches

-Archbishop José H. Gomez

This is a challenging moment for our community. In the face of new immigration enforcement efforts, many in our community — our friends and family, our neighbors and fellow parishioners — are experiencing not only fear and anxiety, but economic uncertainty and hardship, as well.

In order to try to help these brothers and sisters of ours and to provide them some security and
stability in this difficult time, we have established a special Family Assistance Program that will be administered through our Cardinal McIntyre Fund.

You can contribute online via the secure button below or by check, payable to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and include “Family Assistance Program” on the check memo line. Checks can be delivered to your parish office or sent to: Sister Anncarla Costello, SND, Archdiocese of Los Angeles, 3424 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90010.

Why we need a new conversation on immigration

People are staying home from Mass and work, parks and stores are empty, the streets in many neighborhoods are silent. Families are staying behind locked doors, out of fear. This situation is not worthy of a great nation.
