Join us for “The Art of Celebrating the Mass for Deacons” session on Saturday, March 25 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at Mission Santa Ines (1760 Mission Dr, Solvang, CA 93463).
Dn. Bob Seidler, from Office of the Vicar General, will be explaining the new Archdiocesan guidelines for “The Deacon at Mass – General Principles,” and the history and meaning of the parts of the Mass which will help you engage the people in a meaningful celebration. The General Principles are guidelines drawn from the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM), the Order of Mass, and the Ceremonial of Bishops. These guidelines are a collaboration of the Office for Divine Worship, the Office of Deacons in Ministry, and the Office of Diaconate Formation, and apply to all deacons serving in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
