On Wednesday, August 3, the Parish Community of St. John Baptist de la Salle, is honored to be the final stop of a historic 4-month, 21-state tour of the relics of St. Bernadette Soubirous throughout the United States. This will be the final opportunity for the veneration of these precious relics.
The day-long celebration at St. John Baptist de la Salle includes:
7:30 a.m. Holy Mass welcoming St. Bernadette’s Relics w/His Excellency Jean-Marc Micas, Bishop of Lourdes
8:30 a.m. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament & Benediction immediately followed by Anointing of the Sick
9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Silent Veneration of St. Bernadette’s Relics
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Sacrament of Reconciliation
4:00 p.m. -Stations of the Cross (connecting St. Bernadette’ Life to Our Lord’s Passion) followed by praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet
6:30 p.m. Candlelight Rosary Procession (Gathering in the Pavilion)
7:30 p.m. Lourdes Virtual Pilgrimage Experience (experience Lourdes Water, touch an actual piece of the Lourdes Grotto, Benediction and Plenary Indulgence, farewell to St. Bernadette as she concludes her tour in the U.S. returning to Lourdes Aug. 4.
