Purpose Statement:

The Office for Divine Worship seeks to foster an encounter with Jesus Christ through the liturgical life of the Church by providing formation,  consultation, and resources to clergy and lay ministers in accordance with the Church’s norms and teachings.

Who We Serve:

The Archbishop, Auxiliary Bishops, Pastors, Deacons, Parish Liturgy Directors, OCIA Directors and team, offices of the Archdiocese, Catholic Cemeteries and Mortuaries, liturgical and sacramental ministers (Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Wedding Coordinators, Parish Funeral Coordinators, Music Ministers, et al.), Parish Catechetical Leaders, and Catholic Schools.

What We Do:
  • Support and equip clergy and lay ministers with resources, formation, and consultation to celebrate the liturgy in accordance with Church teachings and pastoral needs.
  • Provide liturgical and sacramental formation for transitional deacons and candidates for the permanent diaconate.
  • Assist the Archbishop in issuing and implementing policies regarding the liturgical and sacramental life of the Archdiocese.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Order of Christian lnitiation (OCIA) within the Archdiocese.
  • Provide guidance and assist with the approval of renovations, remodeling, or construction of churches and worship spaces in the Archdiocese.
