Colombia Earthquake
Special Mass honoring Earthquake Victims and Supporting the Colombian Community
On August 16th, a special Mass was held in solidarity for those affected by the devastating 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck western Colombia in August 10th. The Mass was held at St. Matthias (Huntington Park), and presided by Pastor Rev. Rubén Restrepo.
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles has asked parishes and schools to hold a special emergency collection during Masses on the weekends of August 22-23 and August 29-30th to assist those affected. All funds will be sent to Catholic Relief Services. We ask that you consider making a donation to help the Colombian communities.
