Eucharist and the Bible – Catholic Bible Institute Summer Bible Institute 2023
Eucharist and the Bible was a powerful experience of Jesus in the Eucharist!
Over the course of five days we traveled along the Camino Real through each of the Archdiocese regions on a mission to satisfy the hunger we have for Eucharist. Six hundred people traveled with us, called to know more about Eucharist, its foundation in Scripture, its power to transform not only our lives but also the lives of every person we encounter. We were and are blessed by each other’s presence and faith.
Following the form of the Mass we began by entering the church In the San Pedro region where we learned from Fr. Juan Ochoa about our church building and its role in our life of worship. Then in Our Lady of the Angeles region Fr. Felix Just opened the Scriptural foundation of Eucharist to us as we hear in the Liturgy of the Word. In San Gabriel region Fr. Parker Sandoval helped brought us more deeply in our weekly encounter with Jesus through Eucharist in the Mass. Then in San Fernando region Dr. Stuart Squires helped us come to a better understand Jesus’s Real Presence in the Eucharist understood through Scripture and Sacred Tradition. And then Bobby Vidal showed us how to live out our Eucharist Charisms when sent forth by Jesus to live out the Blessed Sacrament in our daily lives.
