Guidelines for Altar of Remembrance
“The following guidelines prepared by the Office for Divine Worship are intended to help ensure that the placement and display of an altar de muertos (altar of remembrance) respects the Catholic faith, liturgy, and the sacred character of the space. When displayed on church property, the altar should remain consistent with Catholic teaching and serve as an authentic expression of prayer, remembrance, communion with the faithful living and deceased, and hope in resurrection”
