Archbishop Gomez Celebrates Annual Mass Honoring Immigrants

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles announced Thursday that its annual Mass in recognition of all immigrants will be celebrated Sunday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles, where ribbons bearing the names of people affected by immigration will be presented.

Archbishop José H. Gomez will celebrate the Mass at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the cathedral, 555 W. Temple St., according to the archdiocese.

The ribbons are part of a special “Ribbons of Prayer” chapel established at the cathedral to commemorate the International Day of Migrants and Refugees.
